I’ve had a few people asking what I would be doing at Revolution. Here is the best explanation to that question.
If you or anyone you know are interested in owning a home in the FABULOUS metropolis of Seneca, SC, I hear there’s a great home for sale here.
Well, since today was my last Sunday off (which we are so pumped about), Jill and I spent our day visiting a couple of area churches. This morning, we went to Marathon Church in Powdersville. We had never been there, but had heard some great things, so we decided to check it out. I was a bit disappointed that Eddie Cox wasn’t speaking, but now I’m over it.
Tonight we went to Newspring. We go there whenever we get a chance, and God rocks our world almost every time we go. Tonight was no different. In fact, Perry just BROUGHT IT tonight. He hit so many issues that we’re dealing with now that it wasn’t even funny! The music was incredible too, as usual.
Next week, we start at Revolution. We are so excited and so ready to begin serving there. Even though we haven’t sold our house yet, Gary
, we know that’s coming soon and we’re so up for the move to Canton.
We’ve spent the weekend cleaning up the house, so I’m exhausted. I’ve got to get to bed early tonight because it’s back to construction work again tomorrow… Got to get in a couple more work days this week. I can hardly wait.
Ok… so I live in a very, very… very small town. Needless to say, Starbucks doesn’t associate itself with the smallness of Seneca, SC. The great thing is that we are moving soon… to a not so small town. Canton does have a Starbucks. Now, I’m not completely ignorant. I have visited Starbucks before… usually every time I pass by one on my way to civilization. However, Clemson did just get a brand new store, which is about 15 min. away. Anyway, I’ve got a huge question for those of you that visit this blog and are frequent coffee drinkers. What is the bomb-diggity thing to get at Starbucks?
I’m very excited to announce that the Woods are moving from here to here. We’re going to be part of the Revolution team and we can’t wait. We are super stoked about what God has been up to lately. For those of you that don’t know the Revolution story, you can check it out here. I wanted to tell you earlier, but I was waiting on Gary to announce it first. You can check out my job description on Gary’s blog as well. We left Canton last weekend knowing that this is where God wanted us. We’ve been praying for something big and that is just what God did. Please pray for us as we try to sell our house and move within a short time frame.
Man, I’m wiped out from today. It was back to the grind working construction. I shoveled some dirt, walked up a cliff with heavy rocks over and over, and spread some mulch. Sounds exciting, huh? It really sucked… but it pays the bills… almost. Well… time for bed. I’ll try to post something more exciting on here tomorrow. Stay tuned.
We pulled in the driveway at the Woodhouse today around 2:00 pm. We left Canton at around 10 am. Why a 4 hr trip as opposed to a normal 2 hrs? Let me elaborate. My wife loves to shop. I think we hit up every outlet from here to Canton. We stopped by the Dawsonville outlets, which is not really on our way. We traded in some shoes for Zoe that were too small… and bought some more clothes for the kid. She only can wear a shirt about 2 times, then it is too small. She takes after her daddy with the eating. After Dawsonville, we headed out thinking we were going through Toccoa, but instead ended up in Commerce, GA. We stopped there for lunch, but didn’t do the outlets there. The temptation was strong, but Jill managed to persevere. I was proud of her (Her shopping addiction is really not as bad as it sounds, I just know she reads this). We’re home safe and sound now. Thanks for all the prayers.
